The two non-smoking guest rooms are in a separate building from the main house. They were converted from stables in the autumn of 2002 and are very well insulated, so are cool in summer and warm in winter.

The "blue" room, about 12'(3.6m) square, has the better view as it looks down the garden. The "green" room is slightly larger and is a bit more private - it looks uphill over a field which is often empty, or contains sheep or cattle.

Both rooms include:

  • separate entrance from outside, with security lock
  • 160cm (5'3") wide bed with a pocket-sprung mattress
  • all seasons duvet (4.5, 9.0 or 13.5 tog)
  • tea and coffee making facilities
    • indian and herbal tea
    • regular and decaffeinated coffee
    • fresh semi-skimmed milk
  • 14" colour TV with Freeview
  • alarm clock radio
  • chest of drawers and wardrobe
  • small bedside chest of drawers with individual lights
  • easy chair
  • convector heater

The bathrooms both include:

  • full-sized bath
  • powerful (mains pressure) thermostatic shower
  • heated towel rail
  • fan heater

We do not provide a hairdryer or an iron in the rooms. However, they are both available on request.
